A mistake is a page and the relation itself the book,
For reasons that keep us sane and together,
Never discard the whole book just for one page!
Patience is better, and what is beautiful patience?
You are being tested and yet you are grateful!
When at the end no worldly means equal the relations and love we have,
What in life could be a greater test than our bonds?
And what better opportunities to exhibit beautiful patience?
I agree in valuing those we love we do lose ourselves, a painful process which makes us forget how special we are. The truth is, having gone through this is more painful than loosing the one we value. But then what is BEAUTIFUL PATIENCE?
If i ask, what wrong is using the three filters to our tongue before we speak.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?
Do we ever sit back, wait and see if the situation could take a turn other than the one we are turning it to? What if we let it sink, let it shrink and ask ourselves, what's more important?
The relation or the feeling we are holding onto?
You know! You know that at the end of the day without that person, your job, your degree, the books you have read, the land you own, the money you earn, the house you have is nothing but another rant to share with that loved one. What will you still crave after-all?
The love!?
The connection!?
The depth to it!?
What you gave!?
How many hearts you touched!?
You know love, it's the most important thing that exists on this planet, universal to souls like food and air is to bodies. Learn to forgive instantly, harmonize, reconcile and bend. To be kind and soft, not stiff and hard, for stiff is the one without a soul.
All relations go through hell, real relations get through it.
Relations are made with emotions. Understanding the beauty behind what we do with and for each other, and the feelings behind that. When it comes to harsh times, one has to be the string to hold on to, the kind one to not let the relation get effected is what is beautiful patience. Being there absorbing all the negativity and still glowing enough to allow the person to be able to talk, to be able to move on with you to stay and be grateful together is what demands courage and makes love flourish.
Becoming that shoulder, that support to hold on when one of us gets weak to allow us to walk together, a little further, to allow enough space, to let the nagging inner voice die. For calming down and letting each other breath would definitely spare us the cost we have to pay for that relation we shouldn't take for granted.
One for which we must practice BEAUTIFUL PATIENCE!
To make the relation look and feel like the most amazing thing in the world, we have to treat it like the most amazing thing in the world. The strength is to choose to love each other even when we are struggling to like each other.
I always ask myself, affection or perfection?
And the answer is always affection.
What's yours?
